Aparna is a talented vocalist of the young generation. She started her journey in classical music with blessings from Mrs. Pornima Talwalkar. Then she was trained in 'Gwaliyar, Agra Gharana' from Padmabhushan Pt. C R Vyas. Currently she is receiving training from the veteran harmonium maestro and musicologist, Dr. Arawind Thatte and Shri. Shreeram Shintre one of the senior disciple of Pt. C. R. Vyas. Aparna is endowed with a rich and mellifluous voice which makes her adept and singing both light and classical music. Her sweet, seasoned and pliable voice with easy reach in all the three octaves makes her disciplined exposition of the Raags full of aesthetic and emotive content. Aparna is a graded artist of the All India Radio. She has been honoured with several awards and scholarships. She has performed all over india in venous music concerts. Besides of Khayal Gayaki, she is especially interested in Tappa and Tarana Gayaki, Influenced by Pt. Malini Rajurkar.
