Dr. Meenal Mategaonkar represents a true blend of excellence in Music and Engineering Academia. While she has established herself as a successful Hindustani Classical Vocalist, she is PhD in Water Resources from IIT Bombay and currently a faculty at NMIMS. Meenal started learning Hindustrani Classical music at the age of 10 years from Shri Appasaheb Indurkar, Nagpur. Later, Meenal received valuable guidance from Shri Vasantrao Rajurkar and Smt. Shobhatai Abhyankar. She is taking lessons from Smt. Ashatai Khadilkar, Mumbai since last 12 years. She has established herself as a Classical Vocalist with many accomplishments and awards to her credit. She is Sangeet Alankar and A-Grade Artist of All India Radio. She was recently awarded with 'Gana Naipunya Puraskar' by Uttunga, Mumbai. She won many other prestigious titles and recognitions like 'Sur Ratna' from Bhatkhande Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Raipur, 'Sur Mani' by Sur Singaar Parishad, Mumbai, 'Dr. Amir Kasam and Hasan Ali Lakhani Scholarship' of Ganavardhan, Pune, 'Kal ki Khoj' by Nehru Center, Mumbai and First Prize during Yuva Mahotsav by SCZCC, Ujjain to name a few. Meenal also won the First Prize of prestigious 'All India Radio Competition'. Her audio CDs are in the market that have received significant accolades. This includes “Blending Notes” by Times Music, “Rising Stars – Classical Vocal” and “Shrirang Raag” by Sonic Octaves. Meenal has performed in numerous prestigious concerts allover India in places like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nagar, Delhi, Kolhapur, Ujjain, Raipur, etc. including her recent performance at Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan, Agartala.
