Dr. Vrushali Deshmukh is an India-based versatile vocalist in the field of Hindustani classical music and also an occasional music composer also featured in Marathi Sangeet Natak (Music Drama). Vrushali is gifted with a mellifluous and flexible voice, blends of emotional intelligence, and blessed with inborn talent and a good understanding of ‘Shruti’ and ‘Laya’ since childhood, without any special musical background, Vrushali started learning music with the encouragement of her parents and her passion. After receiving initial basic training from Pt.S.R.Degloorkar, now, she has been learning in the Jaipur - Atrauli style from renowned senior vocalist Vidushi Dr. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande. Vrushali has done her postgraduate in music from S.N.D.T. University Pune. She has also qualified for NET- UGC music. Besides this, she has completed Sangeet Visharad and Sangeet Alankar from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mandal, Mumbai. She got special research guidance from Dr.Pornima Dhumale. Vrushali earned a Ph.D. and a doctorate in music from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, under the guidance of Late. Dr. Bharati Vaishampayan. Vrushali has been giving successful concerts of Hindustani Classical music and semi-classical music under the auspices of many musical foundations across India and abroad. Four Gold medals were credited to her in Youth Festival And she was the first prize winner in many prestigious competitions conducted at all Indian levels. She is the recipient of the CCRT Scholarship for Young Artist, & Junior Research Fellowship by the Central Government, Department of Culture, India. Vrushali has published many research papers and articles in International, and national journals, Sangeet Kala Vihar, Souvenir, books, etc. She also has presented various papers in UGC sponsored at International and National Conferences. She is a well-experienced music professor and performing artist.
