Ramakant is a young and promising rising star on the horizon of Indian Classical Vocal Music. He started taking lessons at very tender age of 4 from his father Pt. Suryakant Gaikwad (Sangeet Alankar), his mother Mrs. Sangita Gaikwad (Sangeet Visharad) & Dr. Satish Kaushik (deciple of Late Pt. Sadashivrao Jadhav of Kirana Gharana). Following ‘Kirana’ & ‘Patiyala’ style or ‘Gharana’ Ramakant learnt in the music institute by name ‘Hari Om Sangeet Kala Mancha’ run by his father. Ramakant has various awards like ‘Pt. Ram Marathe Puraskar’, ‘Elite Idol’ by Lions club pune, ‘Pt. Vasantrao Deshpande Puraskar’ by Vasantrao Deshpande foundation, etc. He has performed in ‘Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav Pune 2014’.
