He then received in-depth exposure to the Kirana style, under theguidance of Pandit Madhav Gudi, leading disciple of the Kirana Maestro Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. The longest and most rigorous phase of his training was under the tutelage of Pandit C. R. Currently Sanjeev is learning the aesthetics of the bandish under Pandit Satyasheel Deshpande and voice under Pandit Rajendra Manerikar. Sanjeev has also been instrumental in promoting the baithak parampara which he feels is the best environment to perform and listen to Indian Classical Music. Along with like-minded friends he has started ‘Manthan’ a forum for enjoying our music in the baithak parampara.
