A senior disciple of Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, Radhika Joshi brings to her music a rare blend of emotional depth and intellectual clarity. Her exploration of raga through thoughtfully crafted alaaps reflects a deep understanding of raga bhava and melodic aesthetics.
As a recipient of the prestigious SPICMACAY Gurukul Scholarship, she had the privilege of training in semi-classical forms such as Thumri, Dadra, Hori, Kajri, and Chaiti under Padma Vibhushan Smt. Girija Devi at the Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata. Her early musical foundation was shaped by her first Guru, Smt. Padma Wadkar, who recognized her talent and guided her initial journey.
