Blessed with an exceptionally melodious and original voice, Dr. Ashish Ranade has dedicated over a decade to rigorous training under the guidance of Shri Aviraj K. Tayade, a disciple of the legendary Pt. Bhimsen Joshi. He further enriches his musical journey under the mentorship of renowned vocalist Shri Anand Bhate, carrying forward a rich and respected musical lineage.
Rooted in the Kirana Gharana, his music beautifully blends tradition with innovation. His performances reflect a deep understanding of sur and its emotional essence, creating a powerful connection with listeners. With a repertoire that spans a wide range of ragas and compositions, enriched by the legacy of Pt. Rambhau Mate, Dr. Ashish presents music that is both intellectually profound and emotionally moving.
His abhang renditions, inspired by the devotional tradition associated with Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, further highlight his versatility and depth as an artist.
